Axe are comprised of two main parts: the blade head and the handle. For a blade sharp and tough enough to work in Heartwood, we'll need to find some special ore. I have something in mind for this axe; it requires ore found deep in the Doomwood. This ore has some crystalline properties and can be honed into an extremely hard and sharp blade.

We can start melting and refining this ore right away. In the meantime, I will need some materials to sharpen the blade with. Diamondine is a material that can grind down even the hardest of materials, and I will need a large gem of some sort to apply the Diamondine to. From what I hear, Diamondin is a valuable treasure to Dragons.

I'll start working on this handle! I have some skill in carving… Once I'm finished, we'll need some sort of varnish to seal it and protect it from the elements. Whenever my father crafted his axes, he always complained about the oil and how stinky it was… something about the fish it was made from and how they lived around death and decay. Yuck!
