Zakaru (Cutscene)

Locations/Replays:

Zakaru (Caretaker): What? ALATA?! What have you done?
Alata (Fairy Dragon): ME?! What have YOU done?
Alata (Fairy Dragon): We saw you, Zakaru.
Alata (Fairy Dragon): You betrayed us!
Zakaru (Caretaker): Alata, I can explain. Who is this?
Hero: I’m <Hero>. I’m helping Alata stop you and save these dragons’ souls.
Zakaru (Caretaker): No. You’re not.
Zakaru (Caretaker): I cast a net to stop the dragon souls from ascending…
Zakaru (Caretaker): … to SAVE them!
Hero: Explain.
Zakaru (Caretaker): A lich named Skalazar took over Caretaker’s Watchtower.
Zakaru (Caretaker): He’s at the top of my tower consuming the dragon souls released here in the crater.
Zakaru (Caretaker): I sealed myself down here and I’ve been saving the souls until I can release them to move on safely.
Hero: SKALAZAR must be who hired the Defilers.
Zakaru (Caretaker): Yes. They normally just scrounge for bones and plants infused with dragon magic…
Zakaru (Caretaker): …But Skalazar hired Blackjackal and his crew to speed the dragons that come here to undignified deaths.
Zakaru (Caretaker): As payment he got me out of the way so they could steal from the treasure troves that I protect.
Alata (Fairy Dragon): What a relief! I thought that you betrayed us!
Alata (Fairy Dragon): I feel like a complete fool.
Zakaru (Caretaker): You should have known better but now we need to stop Skalazar.
Alata (Fairy Dragon): So what’s the plan?
Zakaru (Caretaker): I… don’t know. I was just buying time until I thought of some way to stop Skalazar.
Hero: I know we can stop him together.
Hero: We just need to get to the top of the tower.
Zakaru (Caretaker): Skalazar has sealed the tower with his magic but I think I have another way to the top.
Zakaru (Caretaker): We just need my Amulet of Reanimation.
Zakaru (Caretaker): Alata, where did I put that?
Alata (Fairy Dragon): In a chest in the LIFELESS GROTTO.
Zakaru (Caretaker): Alata and I will try to keep the dragon souls safe.
Zakaru (Caretaker): <Hero>, bring us my amulet!
Zakaru (Caretaker): We’re flying up on an undead dragon’s back.
