The carapace of the giant scorpion you encountered is marvelous — sturdy yet surprisingly flexible… the older bits of the carapace, at least. With enough of the aged carapace, you may be able to modify the bow you found into something formidable. Venture back into Vault for more of the scorpion's carapace and I can fashion it into a Bow Crafting Toolkit.

Yes, we can make good use of the aged sections of this scorpion's carapace. However, only the older parts can be used for the toolkit, so you'll have to wait before more becomes ready to harvest again. For now, go see Brienne the Blacksmith to see about crafting the replica bow.
